Weight-loss drugs including Ozempic and Wegovy, have seen an explosion of interest and adoption, seeing Pharmetcuitcal producer Novo Nordisk to become the most valueable company in Europe.
The drugs work by supressing appretite, and users can see reduction in up to 25% of their body weight in a year
If these drugs were adopted at Covid-vaccine like rates, the impact to calorie consumption worldwide would be 3-4%, and it would cost over $1 trillion at current prices.
